A Neapolitan Music concert in Pjazza Teatru Rjal

On Friday 8 August, the Malta Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Dario Salvi, embarks on a musical journey into the heart of Naples thanks to the timeless sound of Neapolitan music.

Joined on stage by soprano Nadia Vella and tenors Cliff Zammit Stevens and the up-and-coming Giosue Agius, the Malta Concert Orchestra will perform such iconic songs as O Surdato Nnamurato, O Sole Mio, Funiculì Funiculà, Granada, Core ’Ngrato, Arrivederci Roma and many more colourful, vocal and orchestral arrangements that evoke the colourful, vibrant and unique spirit of Naples.

Maestro Dario Salvi is a Scottish-Italian conductor, researcher and musicologist. He is widely regarded as a fast-rising name in opera and operetta, and is known for his expressive gestures and precision of style.

His career is marked by a passionate commitment to resurrecting forgotten musical treasures from the late 19th and early 20th centuries!
