Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra with world recording premiere for Naxos

Ballet music performed by the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra has been released on a new double CD by the Naxos record company. The music was recorded with Scottish-Italian conductor Dario Salvi, as well as with the participation of Serbian soprano Maria Jelic and our National Philharmonic Choir.

This release marks the world recording premiere of the ballet Griseldis by French composer Adolphe Adam, whose concert version was performed as a world premiere on stage in February 2024 at the Bulgaria Hall with the same cast.

After the new recording appeared, the album even managed to enter the largest specialized classical music chart in the UK, which Naxos announced on social networks back in May, also publishing a link to the orchestra's performance on YouTube: "Great news! Our new release "Griseldis, ou Les cinq sens" by Adolphe Adam has entered the official classical music chart in the UK this week!"
